Given my background, I always find ways to make use of my knowledge and experiences in theatre and try to create something that takes a step further. My works are text-based and inspired greatly by conversations because I see the dialogue as a way people negotiate and navigate the relationship, history, and memory. I particularly love to challenge myself with site-specific projects because if removed from that location, it loses a substantial part of its meaning if not all. It also adds another layer to the work, how I as an artist who is a stranger to the space negotiate and navigate this newfound relationship, reinterpret the history, and create new memory.
