Nuttamon Pramsumran (1993, Samut Sakhon)
With B.A in Dramatic Arts program from Chulalongkorn Univetsity (2016) and M.F.A in Art Theory from Silpakorn University (2019), Nuttamon believes in the power of words and conversations through art. She often writes dialogue-heavy short stories and plays that usually involved feminism, capitalism, and memory. Nuttamon cofounded Circle Theatre Bangkok in 2018. She is actively experimenting with new possibilities within the scope of a text-based and interdisciplinary performance. She was invited to TPAM 2020 (Yokohama, Japan) and joined HEKTOMERON project (Craiova, Romania) in 2021 as presenter of Thailand. Her works include the short story collection “Abstract Bar” (P.S. Publishing, 2016), “La maladie de l’amour: Detoxification of a Heart” (World Stage Design Festival, Taipei, Taiwan, 2017), “Make Love, Not War” (Performative Art Festival #7, BACC, 2018), and "OK LAND" won Best Ensemble from Bangkok Theatre Festival 2020 and was selected to be in the M1 Singapore Fringe Festival 2022. Outside the art space, she joined Loei Art Fes I LFAF4 in 2021 to reimagine the Thai language textbook with a local youth group and collaborated in Parallel Normalities Project (2021-2023) in Dansai District, Loei Province, Thailand, and Gotemba city, in Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. |
